Da Cortona painted The Holy Trinity in the cupola (1647-51). The prophets Isiah, Jeremaih, Daniel and Ezechiel in the four pendentives were painted in 1655-6 and 1559-60, along with his fresco of the Assumption of Mary in the apse.
