The altarpiece conceals the colossal statue of the Saint on a superb pedestal of alabaster, lapis lazuli and gilt bronze. Each afternoon at 5:30 in a mini catechetical "concert" of recorded baroque music with light and audio narration on the life of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the painting is lowered to reveal the statue.
