The tabernacle was designed by Sarti and constructed by Wilhelm Hopfgarten of gilt metal, consisting of a square base and serves as the ciborium on which rises a beautiful circular peripteral temple of the Corinthian order. The columns of which enclose a circular aedicula, which turns on a pivot thus exposing to view the monstrance containing the Bl. Sacrament on occasion of solemn Benediction.
