The altar-piece representing The Madonna dei Pellegrini (The Madonna receiving pilgrims) is by Caravaggio from 1609. The painting was commissioned by Ermete Cavalletti, who was the patron of the chapel. It features Our Lady presenting the Christ-Child to two elderly pilgrims
