The sculptural altarpiece, showing The Holy Family return from Egypt with St John the Baptist and his Parents, St. Elizabeth and Zechariah, is by Domenico Guidi, was commissioned by Cardinal Alderano Cibo and completed in 1688 and was re-inserted into the new altar.
