This chapel amounts to the Roman shrine to the two saints, and is popular with pilgrims especially from eastern Europe. St Cyril translated the Bible into Slavic language, created the Glagolitic alphabet, and Christianized the Slavs. Pope John Paul II used to pray there sometimes for Poland and the Slavic countries.
