The triumphal arch is supported by a pair of pilasters in shallow relief with un-classical capitals deriving from the Corinthian. These are from the 18th century restoration. To the right hand side of the apse is an early 14th century tabernacle, executed in French Gothic style with Cosmatesque decoration. The artist was Arnolfo di Cambio.
