On the right are SS Peter and Clement. This figure refers to the succession of Bishops of Rome. Clement holds the anchor which is his symbol (this is partly obscured by a Baroque cornice), and below the pair is an oared galley with two fish. Below these figures is Jeremiah holding a scroll, saying: "This is our God, there is none to compare with him"
