The semi-circular ambulatory has five gigantic recessed panels topped by a row of seven small square windows; three of these, including the middle one, have large rectangular windows in Baroque frames but the other two have large tablets with commemorative inscriptions. The central window has a stucco device featuring an eagle over crossed keys, crowned by a mitre.
