The altarpiece is by Giuseppe Rollini. Saint Joseph is next to the Virgin Mary, the Child Jesus in his arms and, with his right hand stretched out, he protects the Basilica of St. Peter, offered by an anguished angel. The illusion of the Holy Patron of the Universal Church is clear.
