The chapels are entered through large arches, above which are fresco panels. Wall decoration over the chapel arches are from the 1632 restoration. The frescoes are eight stories from the life of Sts Cosmas and Damian, and ten figures of Saints and Popes, as well as trophies with instruments of martyrdom, are by Marco Montagna.
