The choir was designed by the architect Onorio Longhi and dates back to 1608. To the right of the photo is the back of the apse. The organ dates from 1956. On the wall above the exit door from the choir is an 18th century tapestry depicting the Apparition of Jesus and the Madonna to St. Francis. This is the famous vision of the Portiuncula.
