The altar aedicule has four Corinthian columns in verde antico diagonally placed. The inner pair supports a triangular pediment with a broken top, into which is inserted a winged putto's head in white marble. The four columns were originally from the side aisle colonnades of the ancient basilica. The altar was made by Pietro Paolo Olivieri c. 1600.
