The spectacular altar aedicule is in polychrome stonework, with gilded bronze devices and studs attached. Two pairs of Corinthian columns in pink alabaster, with gilded capitals, stand on four plinths in alabaster and gilded bronze. These columns support two little segmental pediments, on which are plinths with kneeling putti. These are adoring a statue of Christ, under its own little crowning aedicule with a segmental pediment. The altarpiece depicts Christ Between St John the Baptist and St John the Evangelist, and is by the Cavalier d'Arpino.
