The high altar is from 1795, adorned with exquisite marble and bronze. In an urn under the altar are preserved the relics of San Silvestro (Pope Sylvester I), Sts Artemius, Paulina and Sisinnius, brought here from the Catacombs of St. Priscilla in the 9th century by Pope Sergius II.
