The first chapel on the right is dedicated to St Charles Borromeo, and is the Cappella Baccini. It was sponsored by Andrea Baccini, a rich merchant from Florence, and built between 1614-1623. The chapel was decorated in 1621-22 under the direction of the Arciconfraternita di S. Giuseppe dei Catecumeni e Neofiti.
