The second nave chapel on the left is the Cappella Sabatini. Marcantonio Sabatini, the majordomo of Pope Gregory XIII, was the patron. Begun in July 1581 it was completed in 1585. It is the richest chapel in the church, with red-colored marbles, the privileged altar and the decorated grotesque pilaster strips.
