The pietra dura in the floor covering the actural burial crypt, also known as "Devil's Hole", is probably by Bernini, with the figure of death holding the Chigi coat-of-arms. The epigraph reads Mors aD CaeLos, "Death to Heaven", and the capital letters spell out the date MDCL or 1650.
