The great fresco of the vault, the work of the brothers Giuseppe and Andrea Orazi (late 17th century, early 18th century), representing the "Triumph of the Virgin over heresy". The composition is allegorical of the victorious battle in Bohemia. It was painted c. 1663, but the superb stucco angels and putti flitting about underneath are early 18th century.
