An entablature separates the two storys with a projecting dentillate cornice and a dedicatory inscription on the frieze. The inscription reads:
"Dedicated to God in honor of the Virgin Mother, AD 1256"
In between the pilaster capitals are panels richly decorated with swags, ribbons and heads of putti.
