The relief sculpture depicting St Philip Benizi Refusing the Tiara by Antonio Raggi, 1686, recalling the legend that the 15th century saint was elected pope but did not consider himself worthy of being the Vicar of Christ. The sculpture is in a molded tondo supported by a pair of lively and very realistic angels, and there is also a putto crawling over the top of the frame.
