On the wall panel on the right side of the apse has another rather odd painting. According to the sources the title is Escape to Egypt. The scene shows a woman (B.V. Mary, usually in blue, but not here) holding a child (Jesus) up to grab fruit from a tree, while two angels and Joseph pull the branch down for the child to reach it. Also, this painting has been partially cleaned and restored.
