This chapel was previously dedicated to Saint Sebastian
with older money in the form of a church.
Lucianus Brancaleo of Camerino, of the Gardeners Guild
(Università dei Hortolani), according to the last will of his
devoted wife Antonia Scottina, at his own expense brought
the chapel to a more attractive form. On his own he endowed
the chapel with 1,000 scudi following his death for the
celebration of Mass every day for him and his wife and also
each year on the anniversary day of his death and his wife’s
death, as is noted in the records of Dom Carolus Constantinus.
