In the nave, to the left of the chapel entrance there is an aedicule shrine containing a damaged painting by Girolamo Siciolante da Sermoneta which shows Sts Lucy and Agatha. These virgin martyrs are carrying bits of their anatomy, which their legends allege were removed before their deaths. St Lucy is carrying a plate with her eyes on it, and St Agatha one with her severed breasts.
