The fifth chapel on the right was not sponsored by a noble family, but by the Confraternity of Our Lady of the Annunciation founded in 1460 by the Spanish Dominican Cardinal Juan de Torquemada, who died in 1468 and was an uncle of the infamous inquisitor. He was a major benefactor of the church. In 1460 Cardinal Torquemada made it the Seat of the Confraternity.
