There is a relief grave slab to the left of the entrance. Giovanni Carboni, a Neapolitan soldier who died in Rome. A very high relief in full armor-plate over chain. His feet rest on two little hounds; he wears a sword at his left, a dagger at his right, side. The inscription bears his name and the place of his death: Rome, September 24, 1388. The work is not great sculpture, but is interesting. The face has been much worn by feet.
