Over the holy water font, on the left side of the door, is the monument of Alphonso Borelli of Naples, who retired into the adjoining convent, when advanced in years, to become teacher of Mathematics in the annexed schools, and died, in 1680, aged 71 years, having written a curious work on the motion of animals.
