The Virgin with Child is painted there, flanked by St. Peter and St. Paul, by S.t Sabina and St. Seria who introduce two clients and on the right the reigning pope. While the two clients are accompanied by their names, the archbishop Theodore and the presbyter George (two papal legates to the Council of Constantinople in 680), the figure of the pope is difficult to attribute. The two legates had been accompanied by the deacon John, the future Pope John V, who may be the unidentified figure.
