The altar is Baroque, in polychrome stonework, set into the apse which has its own richly decorated arch. The altarpiece frame is a pretty arched aedicule with two Ionic pilasters in what looks like verde antico marble. On the archivolt is a small pair of putti, with garlands on each side.
