The fourth chapel is dedicated to St. Francis of Assisi. It was built on a central plan with dome by Francesco da Volterra (1585-1590). However there was a major restoration in 1674 by Giovanni Antonio de' Rossi, amounting to a rebuilding. The altar frontal features polychrome marble work on a backing of red jasper.
