Prince Alessandro Torlonia commissioned Quintilliano Raimondi to design the chapel, built between 1830 and 1850. The incredibly ornate and curvaceous bronze railings at the entrance, with four candlesticks and a central cross, are by Giacomo Luswergh. Unfortunately the gate is kept locked. This is one of the last chapels built for a noble family in Rome.
