On the left wall: Antithesis between Adam and Eve and Christ and the Virgin.
On the left is the expulsion from Paradise, and the damnation of mankind is set. On the right, the promise of redemption, symbolised by the Virgin who vanquishes the serpent. Above her head in the fresco, God the Father is shown in the heavens, very reminiscent to Michelangelo's creation scene in the center of the Sistine Chapel ceiling.
