A pair of thin Corinthian pilasters support an entablature and triangular pediment, and on the frieze is the inscription from the second verse of Psalm 45: Speciosus forma prae filiis hominum ("You are the fairest among the sons of men"). The tympanum of the pediment has a little fresco of the Mandylion, venerated by two angels.
