Saints Vitus, Modestus and Crescentia, as well as Sebastian, and Cosmas and Damian
The twenty-seventh fresco. Vitus, Modestus and Crescentia are seen in a vat of boiling lead and pitch (A), Sebastian is pierced by arrows (B), many martyrs are attacked by wild animals (C). Under (D) are seen the torments to which Cosmas, Damian, Pantaleone, Tiburzio, Saturnino, Susanna, Gorgonio, Adriani and other martyrs were subjected. And under (E) it is shown how the Theban Legion was slaughtered. Again, a fragment of a psalm is quoted on the field above the fresco: "Torrentem. per transivit anima no stra Psal.123".
